Chapultepec Castle, Juan Escutia a "los Niños Héroes," who defended the Castle from American invaders in 1847. He jumped from the walls of the castle wrapped in the Mexican flag and is depicted on the ceiling to keep the flag from the Americans. His enduring legacy is emblematic of Mexican Nationalism. There were many vendors and parties in Chapultepec Park which is the oldest and largest urban park in Latin America.


El Zocalo, Temple Mayor, Cathedral Centro El Zocalo is the historic center of Mexico City and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The size of ten football fields and home to the ancient ruins of Temple Mayor and Cathedral Centro built over 250 years in four distinct styles.

Coyoacán is named for the persistent coyotes that ruled the valley before humans arrived. A waterfall in the town center depicts two coyotes facing each other. Casa Azul the Frida Kahlo Museum is located here along with Chicōmecōātl and Amatista, a Tostada restaurant that often has a line outside. Also, in Coyoacán is the Market and San Juan Bautista Church & Monastery

A ten block walk North to Lagunillas Sunday Market from El Zocalo. Micheladas in a thunderstorm at the Lagunillas Sunday market after lunch at Cafe de Tacuba, a Historic restaurant. Lagunillas has over 2,000 vendors and comprises twelve city blocks!
